Mahmoud Hussein is a senior journalist at Al Jazeera Arabic, Hussein has been illegally imprisoned by Egyptian authorities since December 23, 2016. The details of his arrest remain dubious – there are no formal charges nor was there ever any trial. On December 23, 2020, Hussein has been imprisoned for four years.
