The President of the Republic, Barham Salih, and the UN envoy, Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert, stressed today, Monday, the importance of getting out of the current crisis and adopting dialogue.
A presidential statement, stated that “the President of the Republic, Barham Salih, received today, Monday, October 10, 2022, the representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jenin Hennis-Plasschaert.”
The statement added, “During the meeting, political developments in the country were discussed, as the importance of getting out of the current crisis after a year has passed since the elections, and relying on a serious and committed dialogue to meet the national and constitutional entitlements, confront the formidable challenges facing the country and ensure security, stability, and achieving a decent and free life for citizens.
