The Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of Iran, in a meeting with the managers of the banking network and members of the Qatar Chamber of Commerce, discussed ways to expand banking cooperation between the two countries.

The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, traveled to Doha on Monday at the invitation of the Emir of Qatar to attend the sixth Summit of the Natural Gas Exporting Countries Forum in addition to pursuing the expansion of bilateral relations.

Also, during the visit of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi to Doha, an agreement was signed with Qatar on the establishment of a trade development center and a joint export terminal.

Expanding relations with neighbors and countries in the region and friends has been declared as the main priority of the Iranian government’s foreign policy.

The Islamic Republic of Iran, due to its geographical position, has 15 countries in its neighborhood; activating all economic, trade, industrial, cultural and tourism capacities in relations with neighbors and countries in the region leads to the development of bilateral and multi-faceted relations and the realization of this very important issue would be to the benefit of peace and security in the region.

According to Iran Press News Agency on Wednesday, Seyed Reza Fatemi Amin, Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of Iran, who had traveled to Qatar with the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, met with managers of the banking network and members of the Qatar Chamber of Commerce to discuss new trade promotion strategies on Identifying new capacities.

They consulted and discussed mutual cooperation.
