Jordanian Prime Minister Bisher Al Khasawneh praised the volume of infrastructure projects under construction in Egypt, especially the New Administrative Capital, as he met with Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.
Al Khasawneh said his country seeks to benefit from the Egyptian experiment in this regard, especially amid the challenges facing its big cities of Zarqa and Amman, including population growth.
He said Jordan may seek to move to a new urban center that should be implemented in accordance with an attractive framework, adding that the Egyptian model has encouraged the establishment of these urban forms.
The meeting focused on the project to establish Egypt’s new capital project east of Cairo, including completion rates and the future prospects of this giant project.
Both prime ministers also made an inspection tour of a number of projects in the new capital.
Two days ago, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi made a phone call to Jordanian King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein to inquire about the health of Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah after testing positive for Covid-19, said Egyptian Presidency in a statement.
